Feng Shui of the month: Ji Hai, Yin Earth Pig. November 2026

The Yin Fire Rooster month goes from the 7th of September to the 7th of October included in the solar calendar.

Here is an analysis of the Chi of this month and my practical advices.

If you are not familiar with the Flying Stars of other names used, please refer to the guide below the monthly article.

Astrological season: We are in the first month of the astrological winter season. This season is made of the Pig, Rat and Ox signs together.

The Pig is an interesting sign. It is full of Water as the inception of the winter season; but it also contains vigorous Wood, seeds planted that will blossom in spring during the Rabbit month of March. It should therefore not be considered as a month when the Chi is totally withdraw; it is full of dormant potential. The Stem associated this month is Yin Earth, a fertile soil in which the wooden seeds will be able to grow. This particular Pig month of 2026 is therefore on the best to initiate projects. It is also evocative of a beach and brings in the energy of travelling. The shadow side is that Yin Earth and water mixing can also become muddy…

Jia Qi (sub-seasons, based on solar terms). They were devised on the Chinese calendar and might resonate a bit less in the Southern hemisphere.

Lidong (立冬 – Start of Winter): November 7 to 21

Traditionally, it is a time of rest where crops are secured, animals begin hibernation, and people consume warming foods to replenish energy and ward off the upcoming cold. It is a time of collection and storage of the autumn harvest that is finishing.

Xiaoxue (小雪 – Minor Snow): November 22 to December 6

This represents the period when cold north winds sweep the land and the first light snow begins to fall, though the ground is not yet cold enough to keep it frozen solid. Traditionally, households turn inward, beginning to preserve meats, pickle winter vegetables, and prepare their homes for the deep freezes ahead.

Here is the Feng Shui map of this Chinese month, before adding the Flying Stars..

Monthly Feng Shui

The sensitive sectors of the month are: Southeast, Southwest and West. Southeast receives one good influence with the Sky Horse, which basically is an accelerator especially for work. However it is the month breaker, aka the energy opposite the one ruling the current Chinese month. The Pig is Northwest, therefore its month breaker is in Southeast. Best is to leave this area quiet.

Southwest is the most sensitive sector of the month with two afflcitions: the 5 yellow and robbery sha. Do not disturb this sector and spend less time here, if possible.

West receives the 3 killings afflictions. You can spend time over there but be careful to not stimulate it much.

Northeast receives the Grand duke, aka the Chi of the month. It’s fine to be there and also activate it IF you know when – check my membership.

North host the Peach blossom this month, a Chi that stimulate popularity. It soften the negative annual energy in North. You can spend time here.

The other sectors are neutral. That is, until we take a look at the flying stars of the month…

Flying Stars of the Yi Hai month

This is where the various Flying Stars land this month. On the left is the monthly Star map; the right illustration is monthly and yearly Stars combined.

The prosperous Stars are: 9 and 1 primarily, then 6 and 8

  • The prosperous Star 9 lands in Northwest
  • 1 flies in West
  • The 8 Star flies to the centre
  • 6 lands in East
  • The negative 5 yellow lands in Southwest

North has a combination with 4, which is not an auspicious Star. However it forms a sum-of-ten which is beneficial. You can spend some time over there, don’t activate.

Northeast gets a 4/2 combo. This is not an ideal combination. Keep the area as quiet as possible.

East see the powerful 6/8 combination. It is very auspicious, even if those Metal and Earth stars land in a Wood sector. Spend more time in East and activate it on specific days (in my membership).

Southeast sees a 7/9 combo this month. Unfortunately it spoils the good aspect of the annual 9. You can spend time there but don’t activate it. Be especially wary of using strong light for long.

South is a sector badly affected this year. This month is receives the 3/5 combo that is not improving the sector. Put some metallic objects in South or use a large wind chime with 6 metallic rods this year. Keep the area quiet and minimise its use if possible. Avoid having lights on too much.

Check the yearly remedies in this sector.

Southwest receives the negative star 5 and it is paired with the 7 which doesn’t help either. Metal is the remedy for 5 but it would reinforce the 7. Furthermore the Southwest sector is Earth that reinforces both. You can use a small metallic wind chime still. Keep the area as quiet as possible and minimise your time here.

West receives a 1/3 Wood combination that is not too negative. You can spend time here.

Northwest receives a 9/2 Stars combination. 9 is the most auspicious star for the period and 2 is in transition, becoming more benevolent. It is a good area to spent time and can be activated – see my membership.

The centre receives an auspicious 8/1 combination. You can spend more time over there.

Here are my recommendations by now taking into account all aspects: the Flying Stars, the Feng Shui of the month and the annual afflictions.

  • Northwest, East and the center are the winners. Spend more time in this area of your home
  • East can be activated all month; Northwest only on certain days. I usually do not activate the centre.
  • West and North are neutral. West can be activated only on a specific day and time. North is a better sector this month than the rest of the year
  • Southeast is good most of this year except this month, best is to leave it quiet
  • Ideally minimise your time in Southeast, South and Southwest. Keep those areas quiet. Southwest is the most affected.

With a Feng Shui consultation, you can optimise the good sectors for you and minimise the negative ones. If for example your bedroom is in Southwest which has been determined your best sector and direction, it remains good this month too. Keep sleeping here but don’t put loud music or the light on for too long…

This energy mapping is therefore best paired with a knowledge of your Feng Shui, especially attuned to your Bazi chart and home Flying Stars. If you haven’t had your Feng Shui done, now is a good time to contact me – I offer distant consultations.

Enjoy this month of the Earth Pig,

Laurent Langlais

The flying stars is a numerological system that transcribes some movement of the Chi. So, to be simple; it is a map of the movement of the universal energy and this map is coded through a numerology that gives every star a number attributed to one of the 5 Elements. For example the Star 1 is considered auspicious and is a Water Star 5 is  negative, being linked to illness and calamities and is an Earth Star. The Stars move according to the cosmic flow; they are Stars movement every 2 hours, every day, every month and every year. In this section we are looking at the monthly Stars that have a great influence. The yearly Stars and the auspicious or inauspicious combination they form with the monthly Stars are also analysed and are the basis of the advice I give you in this section.

Keep in mind that your home has its own flying stars, a chart established through the date of construction, renovation or sometimes move-in date. Those stars MUST be analysed and remedied in priority. It is on top of those stars that we use the monthly and yearly stars. Do NOT stimulate for long a room of your home that has the Flying Star 5, outside of 2 hours period I can give you in the Luck boosts. You can use the Luck boosts regardless as they are tapping into a powerful good Chi for the sector during 2 hours. You can contact me for this analysis of your home chart.
