Chinese horoscope 2016: the Monkey year’s forecast for the Rat. 6

The Yang Fire Monkey year started on the 4th of February for the solar calendar: the 8th of February is for the lunar start. It is therefore the right time to see what the year has in store for your sign of birth, based on the Chinese Zodiac. In this series of 12 articles I will explore with you the forecast and predictions that are based on your birth sign for your 2016 horoscope. This is different from analyzing your complete Bazi.

For the 12 Signs of Chinese astrology, it is a very different year from 2015 that was the Yin Wood Goat year. While 2015 was all about Earth and Wood Elements, 2016 is a clash between Fire, Metal and Water. These energies represent money opportunities for some and good prospect for single people of some signs. For others, it is all about professional changes and duties and not a very fun year. Let’s see what the situation is sign by sign.

The Rat

The Rat is for me the best sign of this year to be honest (of course, not looking into the Bazi dynamics…). 2016 should be your year, as the Monkey sign brings support to your sign and the Yang Fire represents money opportunities showing up. Monkey, Rat and Dragon form the Water Elemental frame together and have therefore an affinity for each other – you could consider it a chemical reaction of some sort. The Yang Fire Monkey year shall therefore be excellent to start your new projects, to focus on the evolution of your career but also to network and make new friends and maybe someone special too…People are this year willing to listen to you and if you are organised and visible, you can enjoy the multiple opportunities showing up for you. Inside an unstable and challenging year, the Rat sign shall be able to surf on a wave of success while avoiding the main pitfalls of the year…

Love

In this area of your life, the affinity that you have for the Monkey means that people are getting closer to you. This will show both for friendships and love…If you have started seeing someone last year, it is likely that you’ll take this relationship to the next level in 2016. A friend with benefits situation or a close friendship could also merge into more…If you are single, this Fire Monkey year is helping men in particular to meet new people: flirt or more is up to you and you’ll be in demand.

I’d advise you to follow your intuition to find out which person is the most compatible with your own nature. Rats of both genders will be sought after in 2016: do not get too frivolous or you could forget about your goals for the year. For women there are less flirting opportunities but one strong contender is likely to show up. It is not unlikely that someone you have known for a long time finally make a move…The love relationship that you could establish this year is likely to be spiritual and of quality. Finally if you are in a couple, focus on your partner and do not get distracted by your new fans!

Work

For work too, it should be the year of the Rat. The year brings support but also financial opportunities. If you are starting new projects, a new job or your own company, you should be able to get some help and find quality business partners. The Rat leads and gathers in 2016 and the year serves you well. It is excellent for self-employed people. If you are fast, you could raise your income in 2016: be ready and always have your business cards on you. If you are unsatisfied with your current work, you should be able to get a better one or could negotiate for a change of position.

Wellbeing

This is actually the area for which our Rat friends have to be more careful. The year serves you overall after the obstacles of 2014 and limitations of 2015 that have been tiring. In 2016 you can regain stamina and feel better. However, with the hectic Chi and all this movement, you could crash a bit too. Know, or learn when to say no and respect your own limits. It is not because the year is auspicious to you that you should not sleep, Rats! Respect the balance of Yin and Yang time by stopping regularly, having some breaks, meditating and not being caught…in the rat race. You will gain in efficiency. If you feel a bit confused due to the constant jumping around and changes of the Monkey year, focus on the Wood: writing, drawing, painting, using your creativity and being in touch with nature will help you more than anything this year.
