This is the second part of my Bing Wu, Fire Horse year world predictions.
Natural disasters, problems and attacks during the Fire Horse year
A tension between two Elements is likely to cause natural disasters on a greater scale. This is not the case this year…Rather, we have an excess of one Element and the weakening on some others. While there is uniformity in the Chi of the year, it remains unbalanced. The excess of Fire in the year and the period combined could trigger some volcanic eruptions. This Fire will also push the Earth Element and trigger earthquakes. The strongest earthquake in East Africa was recorded in 1966, the previous Fire Horse year.
I also expect fires and explosion to regularly make the news this year and even more so next year as the Yin Fire goat year 2027 has arson and wildfires written all over it.
As the strong Fire weakens Metal which has to do with infrastructure and cities, we can expect some natural disasters to be very disruptive to a major urban area.
What’s more surprising is that the year 1966 was marked by the exceptional flooding of Venice. Excess of Water during a year full of Fire? There are two explanations as far as Chinese astrology is concerned. First, when there is an excess of Yang then Yin appears; similarly an excess of one Element can trigger its controlling Element. So while it is missing from the year itself, Water can be attracted and appear during that year to extinguish the excessive Fire!
Look at the day this flood happened in 1966: the 4th of November. Dog month and a Fire Rabbit day. Water was nowhere to be seen in the astrology but there was an excess of Fire at a time when it was supposed to go sleep, that is during the Dog month of October. The Horse of the year combined into Fire with the Dog to reignite this Element and the Wood of the day supported the Fire. Therefore it’s clearly the overwhelming Fire that agitated the Water.
Another explanation is that the Na Yin of the Yang Fire Horse is “Water from heavenly river”. If you are not familiar with the Na Yin concept, they are basically the tonality of a Pillar (year, month, day or hour) that can be different from the Elements making it. An so the tonality of this Fire year of 1966 and 2026 is akin to a galaxy or “river from heaven”. While there is no Elemental Water, there is a symbolic Water movement through this year. Finally I want to bring your attention to the fact that the Yang Fire stem of this two years can combine to Yin Metal can produce Water. Yin Metal is contained in the Dog sign…It is also a very aesthetic and refined Element, an attribute of Venice.
Talking about Water…Water represents all type of transports but planes which are linked to Fire. The month during which Water will come clashing with Fire will be more likely to trigger planes or boat crashes, as the meeting of those two Elements in 2026 is more spectacular. Such months are the Dragon and Snake month (April to early June), as well as the winter months of the Pig and Rat (November to early January). The difficult month of the Fire Rooster in September has infrastructure and mechanical problems written all over and is a risky month that might trigger multiple incidents, either mechanical or crashes.
Fire, explosions, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and flooding are therefore the most likely candidates for this Fire Horse year.
The Fire on Fire is also likely to trigger some terror or terrorist attacks this year. Fire is linked to religion and spirituality and its excess will agitate some minds; the weakening of Metal which is more the West makes it a prime year for some terrorist occurrence. The Yang Metal Tiger month (4th of February to 4th of March) and the Yin Metal Rooster month (7th of September to 7th of October) are VERY likely candidates for attacks and bloodshed of all sorts. The Yang Metal Rat month and the Yin Water Snake month are also possibilities.
One possible challenge during this year is that the surge of Fire could create some glitches. The excess Fire can also bring cyberattacks. While a total shutdown is not likely to happen this year, localised attacks and malfunctions will occur more frequently.
THE paradigm shift
I’ve mentioned the Nayin that is River from heaven. This brings the topics of galaxies and space exploration is a hot topic during this Horse Fire year; due both to its NaYin and to the abundance of Fire, an Element connected to what is above us. Space and everything related to this field will be a major trend during the Fire Horse year and we can expect improvement in technology for space exploration, colonisation of planets and also progresses to optics related to space.
It is in this area that I expect one of the biggest paradigm shifts for our society and here I am making one of my boldest predictions, ever. You see in period 9 the Fire means that hidden facts get revealed…And the hottest one, the one most connected to other realms is more likely imho to be revealed during this year full of Fire that shines so bright that something important cannot be hidden anymore. A year during which revelations have more impact due to the reach of the Yang Fire/Sun. In my opinion this is the year where we get confirmation that aliens exist and that they have been interacting with our species, from a very official source.
This could obviously be the biggest paradigms shift for our species, with the power to reshape our philosophy, religion and spirituality altogether. Spirituality is also a very strong topic this year and one of the reason why I’m connecting both realm. Now it could also be that we have become so apathetic to revelations that we tread this likely, or not to be believed and that it doesn’t change much. It is also possible…In my opinion they have been prepping up through various medias and soft disclosure in recent years. And I can’t imagine that Trump could resist making history as THE president offering disclosure to the world. I’am also convinced that the sudden release of all Epstein files is to create a feeling of trust towards the US department of justice and what the Trump administration will release next…this is very clever actually. Disclosure will happen in our lifetime, but I am betting for this year. Bold, I know.
However understand that the disclosure will be full of lies and give us a narrative to follow: the biggest lie imho is that those aliens are from outer space while they are much more likely to be part of another dimension coexisting with ours and have been influencing our species for a long time…And this part is not likely to be revealed. The fact that inter-dimensional species are feeding on our energy is not likely to to revealed for obvious reasons. And yet it’s a reality seen at times and understood by shamanic societies…
Anyway we are now far from Feng Shui and Chinese astrology and you must be either be smiling or be captivated. I might make a fool of myself with this prediction but I stick to it. The other trend I saw about an energy revolution could even be linked to this one too…Time will tell!
If it’s not aliens I’m still adamant that a major “official” revelation will change our perception of the world during this Horse Fire year. The hottest months to reveal something of this nature are the Tiger month (4th of February to 4th of March), the Horse month (5th of June to 6th of July) and the Rooster month (7th of September to 7th of October) and finally the Dog month (8th of October to 6th of November). Note that Spielberg is releasing a movie called Disclosure day on this very same topic this year. Coincidence? I think not.
I’ve mentioned spirituality in this chapter and another of my prediction is a big return of religion; Christianity in particular benefits a lot from this solar energy, much more than another religion based on lunar forces for example. The rebirth of Christianity will be a trend in 2026, guarantee. In general spirituality is a hot (lol) topic during this Fire Horse year. Another trend we are going to see is masculinity, which brings us to the next chapter.
Return of the male principle and other trends
The Yang Fire Horse is a peak of the yang-est of the 5 Element, therefore a peak of the male principle. Know that this year the trend is old fashioned masculinity, testosterone, noble warrior figures, body development and that woeness is not appealing at all. Sports, physical performances and car racing will also be hot topics. Expect the most masculine figures to be prominent in news and trends; this year is overly Yang its energy. Use it to recharge your Yang principle that is needed to nurture the Yin principle. It is the great year to go back to sports and celebrate life in many ways. Expect male influencers obsessed with lookmaxxing and gym to be very prominent this year.
The cinema industry should do very well with strong box office returns. Cinema relies both on Fire and Metal. In that area while everyone expect Avengers doomsday to be a cinematic event ( it should be), I foresee that the Masters of the universe movie to do surprisingly well. Granted I’m rooting for it as it is a hero from my childhood. There is however an astrological explanation. He-Man is an embodiment of traditional and over-the-top masculinity; he is an archetype of the noble warrior. A far cry from the testosterone deficient soyboys promoted as new masculinity. While there is a middle ground between those two archetypes, the constant emasculation of masculinity is done to create weaker men whom cannot revolt anymore. The name He-Man and his archetype is an embodiment of Yang principle and should therefore perform well in such year. It will released during the Wood Horse month which is the actual peak of Fire of this Fire year!
Other trends that will continue are: the development of AI. It’s of course a logical prediction, but the strong Fire benefits AI connected to this Element (online, fast, spreading). Some industries that will flare well should be real estate and insurance, strengthened by their resource Element Fire. Cooking and food will also be a 2026 obsessions; if you want to launch an Instagram or youtube channel linked to cooking, know that this is a good year for it.
The Horse year brings a focus on…horses and so horse racing is in synch with this year. Tiger, Goat and Dog are also signs combining well with this year. My prediction is that dogs will be a big focus in social media. It can be a good year to launch services or a company connected to dogs and even more so connected to dog’s appearance…or cooking for dogs!
Health trends and your wellbeing
What’s interesting is that the Yang Fire Horse 2026 year is the direct opposite of the Yang Metal Rat year 2020. Therefore the astrological conditions are not aligned for a new pandemic. There is not much in this new year that talk about restrictions of movement or the spoiled water brewing viruses or bacteria. In fact the abundance of Fire tends to go against the control of Metal that is restricting our freedom. So far so good…BUT this strong Fire weakening Metal is nevertheless a problem, as Metal rules the lungs. So while I don’t see the conditions for a Covid like scenario, our lungs are weakened by the year energy. Could it be enough to make us more susceptible to whatever germ is in the air? Possibly indeed…And we should also pay attention that the Yang Metal Rat month of December 2026 and the Yin Metal Ox month of January 2027 brings the exact same energy as the years 2020 and 2021. So the very end of the year could bring us some surprised in term of an illness/event that could be lung related still.
The Chinese medicine picture this year is: Fire is excessive, Water is very weak, Metal is under attack, Wood is used and Earth is strengthened. This translates into:
- heart or blood pressure problems for people sensitive to those topics
- weak kidney energy. Do some Tai Chi to support your kidneys and sleep early enough
- lungs under attack. Filter your air and renew it, avoid recycled aircon and layer up in winter. Make sure you have a bit of humidity in your room to moisten your lungs at night.
- skin problems such as psoriasis and eczema are more likely to flare up this year. They are often connected to the gut and the weakening of Metal also ruling large interesting. Lucky digestive Fire and the stomach, connected to Earth, are strengthened. So aim at eating a wholesome diet and chew slowly. Add digestive enzymes to extract the full benefit of it
- while Wood is not the weakest, it is used by the energy of the year. Choose your battle wisely in term of anger and avoid fried food that will exhaust the liver.
- as Earth is supported it is a good year for massage ( a hot trend this year), body recomposition through sports and also to focus on home medicine aka Feng Shui.
This year is the season of the heart. Follow your passion, sing, dance, travel and celebrate life. We have a great two year cycle of benevolent years in the Fire Horse 2026 and the Fire Goat year 2027. From 2028, the Yang Earth Monkey year will start a very different cycle…But this year you should have fun and fill your heart and eyes with spectacular and joy giving experiences to nourish the Fire energy.
