Feng Shui of the month: Jia Wu, Yang Wood Horse. June 2026.

The Yang Wood Horse month goes from the 5th of June to the 6th of July included in the solar calendar.

Here is an analysis of the Chi of this month and my practical advices.

Astrological season: We are now in the heart of the Summer season. This season is made of the Snake, Horse and Goat signs.

The Horse is the peak of Fire in the cycle of Elements.

The Stem this month is Jia or Yang Wood. Jia represents trees and an energy that grows steadily and upward. It is determined and vigorous.

The combination of both sees the Wood feeding Fire. It is a month during which the Chi gets overly strong and agitated. Use Earth to ground; meditate, walk barefoot, get some massage. Try to rest a bit during the following hours to connect with the Earth Element: 13h to 15h (1-3pm), 19 to 21h (7 to 9pm); for example with a 15 min meditation. Avoid coffee between 5 and 7am as we woudl depelte the Wood Element that is under pressure this month. Avoid unecessary stimulants during the month. Use the excess of Fire for sports or sober extactic dance rather than overstimulation. The strong Fire can however brings joy especially through celebrations,visual  shows, festivals that are suitable activities now. 

Jia Qi (sub-seasons, based on solar terms). They were devised on the Chinese calendar so might apply less in the Souther hemisphere.

Grain in Ear (máng zhǒng 芒种) from June 5th to June 20th. Wheat is ripe and good tim to plant for summer

Summer solstice on June 21st. The Yangest day of the year, longest day shortest night. After that point the Yin cycle starts to growth and the Yang cycle declines.

Summer solstice season (xià zhì 夏至) June 21st to July 6th. Use this finish your “yang” work activities before the summer break.

Monthly Feng Shui map

Here is the Feng Shui map of this Chinese month, before adding the Flying Stars.

This month the South/North axis is badly affected. It is logical as this is a Horse month, bringing some Chi similar to the Horse year. Some of the yearly afflcitions are therefore doubled and become more challenging.

  • We have the monthly Tai Sui/grand duke in South. This sector is this month very sensitive and is concentrate a very strong Chi and it should not be stimulated at all, if possible.
  • We have the monthly Sui Po in North. This sector should also be handled with care and ideally not stimulated much.

Please refer to the annual remedies for those sectors as they will also help for this month’s Chi.

For the good sectors now. East is where the yearly and monthly Peach blossom is located. In other words, you can spend time in the East this month to activate your romance luck or enhance your reputation.

Southwest is where the monthly Sky Horse is, as well as the yearly one (different from the “Horse” sign ofthe year). Yan can spend time over there to fasten up projects and stimulate your career.

Now let’s add the Flying Stars in the mix.

Flying Stars of Jia Wu month

This is where the various Flying Stars land this month. On the left is the monthly Star map; the right illustration is monthly and yearly Stars combined.

 

The prosperous Stars are: 9 and 1 primarely, then 6 and 8

  • The prosperous Star 9 lands in North
  • 1 flies in Southwest.
  • The 8 Star flies in South
  • 6 in West.
  • The negative 5 yellow is this month in Northwest

Le’s analyse the combination of monthly and annual Stars in each directions.

North sees a good combo as the prosperous Star 9 and prosperous 6 can work together. However, North being a Water sector it diminishes a bit the effectiveness of 9 (Fire). And as we have seen, North this month combines the monthly and yearly Sui Po (year breaker) and therefore should be activated with care. The yearly remedy I recommend is either to have a large green plant or a wooden piece of furniture this year. You can read my yearly afflictions article to know more. This remedy is also going to help by creating a bridge between the sector (Water) and Star 9 (Fire). This month you can spend time in the North sector of your home if you keep it quiet.

Northeast sees a difficult combination of 7-4, Metal and Wood clashing. This combination also weakens Earth thar rules this sector. Do not activate this sector.

East see an 8-2 combination. 8 remains auspicious at the beginning of period 9, even if its influence decreases. 2 slowly moves from an negative to a more positive star during that 20 years period. The combination of both is known as a sum of 10 that can bring some benefits. East is already a good sector this month to stimulate romance or reputation. Note that they are both Earth Stars landing in a Wood sector. Wood weakens the Earth but it also means the 2 with have less potential negative effects. While i don’t recommend activating this sector during the whole month, you can spend time in East this month and if needed used a dimmed light when there. Careful:  if you have the 5 Star in the East sector on your home chart do not spend much time there as the 8/2 will make the 5 even stronger.

Southeast is a good sector through the year as it receives the prosperous 9 annual Flying Star. The Flying Star 3 lands there this month and its Wood nature is supported by the sector. While 3 is a negative Star, the Fire of the annual 9 can use it as support. Keep in mind the 3 can trigger conflicts, but we also have a good flow as the auspicious 9 is supported both by the sector and the monthly Star. You can spend time in Southeast this month to boost your luck.

South is stil a sector badly affected. Last month the Star 2 was powering the annual 5  (that is already overly strong with the Fire of South) and making it a source of illness. See how many stories we had about viruses originating from the south (Ushuaia cruise ship for hantavirus). This month the Earth Star 8 keeps reinforcing the annual 5. It is therefore a sector that should not be activated; I recommend spending as little time as necessary in South. Implement the yearly remedies in this sector as they will also help weaken the Chi of this month

Southwest see the monthly 1 Water star mitigating the negative effect of the yearly 7.  7 was powered up by the Southwest sector so this is good news. The Water 1 is powerful and this combination should work toward supporting the 1. The Sky Horses in this directions are also beneficial. You can spend time in Southwest this month and activate it from time to time.

West see the auspicious 6 Star arrives and being supported by the sector (Metal/Metal) but it clashes with the yearly 3 that is a Wood Star. The remedy is traditionally Fire but we don’t want too much of it in the West. You can spend time over there this month.

Northwest is very affected this month: the 5-2 combination is one of the worst. They are both Earth Stars and luckily the Metal of Northwest weakens it a bit.  Hang a 6 metallic rods wind chime here, or if you don’t have it put 6 metallic objects at least. I also recommend a saltwater cure, see my remedy article. This month doe not activate Northwest and don’t spend more time than necessary in this room/sector.

The centre receives a 1-4 combination that is quite good. We however never activates the center, keep it quiet. You can spend time over there.

To summarise:

  • Southeast, Southwest and East are the best sectors. Spend time over there
  • West and the centre are neutra and can be used
  • North is neutral but should remain quiet
  • Northeast is negative.
  • South and Northwest are badly affected. Spend as litte time over there as possible and put remedies.

BONUS: ACTIVATE THE PROSPERITY STAR

I’ve selected for you 3 auspicious days to activate the 9 monthly prosperity Star. On those days, just spend as much time as possible in the Southeast room of your home and keep a light on for the day.* You can also add some nice music (like classical). Those days are:

  • 24th of June
  • 25th of June
  • 3rd of July

* if however you know you have the 5 Stars on your home chart in Southeast, do not keep the light on.

The flying stars is a numerological system that transcribes some movement of the Chi. So, to be simple; it is a map of the movement of the universal energy and this map is coded through a numerology that gives every star a number attributed to one of the 5 Elements. For example the Star 1 is considered auspicious and is a Water Star 5 is  negative, being linked to illness and calamities and is an Earth Star. The Stars move according to the cosmic flow; they are Stars movement every 2 hours, every day, every month and every year. In this section we are looking at the monthly Stars that have a great influence. The yearly Stars and the auspicious or inauspicious combination they form with the monthly Stars are also analysed and are the basis of the advice I give you in this section.

Keep in mind that your home has its own flying stars, a chart established through the date of construction, renovation or sometimes move-in date. Those stars MUST be analysed and remedied in priority. It is on top of those stars that we use the monthly and yearly stars. Do NOT stimulate for long a room of your home that has the Flying Star 5, outside of 2 hours period I can give you in the Luck boosts.
